Like the crackling and pop of a campfire that ushers up memories of great outdoor fun. The aromas of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon are familiar and full of sentimental charm. Blackberries, mulberry and sage bush. Stripped paperbark, lead pencil and cedar. A mocha and cocoa nib spice leads to true cinnamon and mace. The palate is fresh with red and black fruits and unpinning the fruit is dried thyme and oregano supported by a medium bodied, fine and dusty tannin frame. It’s a reliable wine that any Cabernet lover would adore and still has plenty of gusto to go the distance. Drink now and will cellar for another 15 years. Serve alongside Texas style smoked brisket and all the sides.
