Taltarni Dynamic Heathcote Shiraz 2020

Heathcote is one of the great regions in Australia for Shiraz, though too often overlooked. The ancient Cambrian earth, its red soil, imparts unique characters to the wines and they are on display here. This wine is from a single vineyard, the grapes going into open-top fermenters with natural yeasts, before maturation in French oak barrels. Red/purple in colour, this is dense and fragrant, a combination of the earth and fruit. Coffee beans, mocha and cassis. Juicy, intense and balanced, with good intensity and impressive length. Delicious now with a decade ahead. Love it.
