A finer, more circumspect style compared to the 2022 which allows a little more elegance to shine. Mid-gold hues. Honeysuckle, quince, cut pear, baked apple and citrus aromas. Ripe and lightly honeyed to taste with some attractive ginger notes spread over a complex palate, no doubt aided in its complexity through seven months maturation in seasoned French puncheons. That brings a richly embroidered wine to the glass with an emerging texture and flavours in apple, pear, citrus and quince enhanced with chamomile, acacia, fig and nougat. Brisk acidity to close indicates a wine that can only improve with more time in bottle.
