TarraWarra Estate Syrah 2024

Pink peppercorn and game meat make for an attractively savoury opening, dark cherry fruit filling things out as the glass opens up. Nutmeg, black olive tapenade and a graphitic edge emerge with time — an altogether moreish cool-climate Syrah perfume. The palate is supple and medium-bodied, dark cherry and blackberry supported by pepper spice, meaty tones and black olive again, before a sheath of chalky tannins wraps it all together and leads to a balanced finish of solid length. The cool-climate charm is squarely in place, and that peppery quality keeps you coming back.
