Taylors Masterstroke Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Share

One lift of the glass to your nose and you know where you are, this is Coonawarra, its iron rich soils, dried gum and dotted rosella flowers. A backbone of blackberries and thyme bush. Some caper berries and woodsy cedar oak. Astute acidity and yet savoury to feel full and powerful. This will age slowly and evenly and continue down the line it is fashioned from, the landscape. A wonderful wine for capturing place and time. I am thinking of marinated lamb leg in herbs and baked slowly. Or put it aside and watch it evolve over the next decade.
