Teakle Wines Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Share

If this ’23 Cabernet is any indication of the potential of the grape in Port Lincoln, then it is clearly something to look forward to with each future vintage release. It is a wine of depth, fruit concentration and overall elegance, worthy of putting the grape and the area on the wine map. Dark crimson-purple hues.  Leafy, earthy scents abound in autumn leaves, undergrowth, crushed herbs with black berries and vanilla spice aromas. In the thrall of fine tannins, the palate is supple, smooth and fresh with black fruits and cassis holding down a solid depth of flavour with a leafy, herby undertone. Remains taut in structure which will translate to further time in bottle, should you wish.
