The Lane Heritage Chardonnay is made in only the best vintages from the oldest vineyards on the estate, and it lives up to top billing. There is wonderful power and volume of fruit – florals and pear aromas beautifully intertwined with fine French oak with creamy, leesy complexity adding additional layers of interest. Good focus follows with tangy, acid driven and reserved citrus flavours providing the initial impact before more nutty nuances emerge over a long, fine finish. The wine is young right now so put it away for at least 2-3 years to see its best.
