States its varietal integrity straight off the bat with a pretty herbaceousness bouquet  – not too aggressively pungent – in gooseberry, snow pea, citrus, thyme and lantana. The Adelaide Hills is undoubtedly THE home of Sauvignon Blanc in Australia, and this is very much in the regional style – brisk, clean, bright and ultra-herbal. The palate has plenty of zing and lift, opening with passionfruit pulp and some delightful citrus and herbal interplay through to the finish. The makers aren’t afraid of a little residual sweetness to soften the mouthfeel and make it more food-friendly and approachable. It works well in conjunction with the wine’s notable cool climate acidity.
