The lightest of blushes with a scent that raises images of quince, apple, dusty lemon, pear and spice. This is textbook Gris. It’s also textbook cool climate in style with a zingy acid freshness coupled to a smooth middle palate texture that brings an extra layer of umami and interest, guiding the wine to a sustained finish. This is a wine that relies on the quality of its fruit with just a simple cool fermentation in stainless steel. The palate tells the story in ginger and spice, quince paste and baked quince, apple and citrus with a lemon pastille brightness. And, what’s more, it’s all set to be enjoyed right now.
