Thunderstone Porongurup Pinot Noir 2024

Share

Sourced from the Shepherds Hut Vineyard, this is another stellar wine from a parcel that continues to impress. With such a small planting of Pinot Noir, and this level of quality across the board, I suspect these wines won’t stay at this price point for long. Fermented strawberries, poached rhubarb and raspberry shortbread biscuits. In the mouth, the muddled berries are concentrated, almost indulgent, cocooned in cinnamon, pine needle and tarragon leaf. Tannins are chalky and fine. With a clear house direction across the release – I’m excited to watch Thunderstone over the next few vintages.
