Maturation in 20-30 % new French oak for 19 months. The wine shows its plummy nature with blood plum skin and orange rind. Ironstone, blood and bone. There is some oregano, marjoram and winter herbs thanks to a portion of the whole bunch. Pencil box, Rooibos tea and sumac spice. The palate arches with the energy of recurrent and lively acidity, some rose water and sweet fig too. This is in a gorgeous place and feels very linked to the soul of the Grampians, like nowhere else. An absolute steal at this price. Drink now or cellar for 2-3 years further.
