Varney Wines Chardonnay 2024

A lighter-bodied Chardonnay, but one that reveals both depth and intensity. It comes from different clones within the Adelaide Hills, with some early picking adding the fine acid line through to the final wine. It was wild yeast fermented with full solids in Burgundy barrels, where it spent 7 months with regular stirring. Fine lemon zest and brioche aromas with a little saline minerality. Impressive with just a little buttery depth to the palate, completing.
