Curtis Queen of Hearts Rosé

Share

Vibrant, almost electric pink hue. A little subdued on the nose – this is more in the savoury vein. Some just cut strawberries, new season raspberries, a little bunchy herbaceousness and plenty of zip. The palate follows through; there’s no shortage of crunch here, and the acidity is zingy. Fruit is still in that just-ripe berried phase, with some lime pith and rounded character thanks to some phenolic texture and just-there grip. It’s a lithe and slippery Rosé, cooling and glossy with a finish that is firmly fruit, not winemaking play. This is a grower of a wine, take a few sips and let it open up. It’s lovely to have a Rosé that is sure of itself with a firm backbone and not afraid to buck the trend of lactic, strawberry and cream easy drinkers.
