Varney Wines McLaren Vale Shiraz 2020

Made from a mix of fruit from Clarendon, Blewitt Springs and Whites Valley, this is a well composed and sophisticated McLaren Vale Shiraz on the reserved side as it delivers layers of cocoa, ironstone and olive tapenade with the first signs of mature earthy tones. It then takes on a more fleshy personality with spicy blackberry and mulberry flavours supported by quite supple tannins. It is ready to go but will drink well for some time to come.
