Vasse Felix Filius Shiraz 2022

Share

Matured in seasoned French barriques for 12 months. A heady mix of blackberries, rhubarb and Adzuki bean paste. Some deeply savoury sesame, clove and cedar spice. Tannins are powdery but persistent up front. There are prune plums and cocoa bean, tiramisu and mace. Plenty to love for the dollars you pay and a wine that would benefit almost any dish, from pork belly, chicken curry to tomato based stews and sausage rolls. Drink now and will cellar well for another 3 years. Impressive amount of detail here.
