Champagne Veuve Monsigny Premier Cru Brut NV

A good step up from the standard Veuve Monsigny here thanks to the fruit sourcing from Premier Cru vineyards, which make up the top 10% in Champagne. It’s just got more of everything than the standard Non-Vintage – power and complexity plus an intriguing toastiness coming from aged parcels in the blend. It’s quite a serious wine at a not so serious price.

Youthful in colour with a fine, silky bubble before immediately jumping into pulsating aromas of citrus and florals with a touch of vegemite on toast. A youthful vitality in the mouth gives great impact and demands a second sip to dive into its more honeyed and spicy side which opens out into a softer, generously proportioned palate. Super value once again from Veuve Monsigny.
