Perfectly ripe apricot aromas waft from the glass on first pour. A swirl unlocks aromas of peach skin, orange blossom, orange cake, lime skin, and a glimmer of candied lemon peel. There’s a good hit of residual sugar and glycerol through the palate bringing texture and viscous, luscious appeal. The palate is laden with apricot, peach, and candied orange, all tempered and coiled by pithy phenolics and refreshingly clean acidity. As the wine warms, everything clicks into perfect harmony and pitch; something I’ve come to expect from Tessa and Jeremy’s wines. Another classy release from VS&B.
