Watkins Cellar Reserve Shiraz Langhorne Creek 2017

From Langhorne Creek, amazing to see a really good wine which has been in the cellar for several years longer than the current Grange and Hill of Grange, at such a ridiculously low price. Stock up! Maroon/garnet in colour, this has a lifted and yet concentrated nose with black fruits, chocolate, licorice, herbs, roast meats, bay leaves, cassis, cloves and cocoa powder. Sleek and supple, with oak integration that hardly leaves a trace, the wine has focus, very fine tannins and serious length. This still has ten to fifteen years of providing pleasure ahead of it. So much to like here.
