Watkins Shiraz Langhorne Creek 2021

Share

Blackberry, olive tapenade and rosemary stems. A sliver of red cherry and tonka bean. Tobacco, vanilla flecks and porcini mushrooms. Hints of clove and coffee grounds. This shows a deft hand in capturing intensity without over extraction. A cool climate style with the added layering of handy oak and great fruit source. Tannins are sappy and chocolatey in their staying power on the palate. Lingering acidity flows on. It is quintessentially modern and also representative of Langhorne Creek. Drink now or will cellar 3-6 years. A wonderful pairing with sweet caramelised onion, anchovy and olive pizza. Drool.
