A deep red hue here with a slightly more ochre tone on the rim. Most appealing aromatics swirl around with notes of truffles, animal skins, warm earth, plums, red cherries, and smoked meats all taking a turn. The flavours on the palate are largely upfront, followed by a soft texture. From a very good vintage, this is attractive drinking now and should remain so for at least the next five to six years.
