Winmark Hunter Valley Rusty’s Run Chardonnay 2023

Rusty is obviously a good doggo, and this is a very good wine. Like all the other Winmark wines, it was very aromatically expressive, presenting white flowers, citrus, straw, apricot and peach, so it’s still very much a youngling. In the mouth it’s oily and slippery, with vivid fruit and lots of body. I had it with a slight chill on a hot day and it was the perfect balm, although it’s the kind of white that you could also drink in the dead of winter. Lovely.
