Wolf Blass Makers’ Project Shiraz Grenache 2019

Share

The new Makers’ Project range includes on the front label a short insight into the winemaking process – here simply “Early Press”. It tells us the wine was pressed off its skins before fermentation was complete, to achieve a fruit-forward style. Little detail follows on the source regions or proportions of each variety. The colour is bright crimson with a bouquet of raspberry/cherry, the wine flavours fairly confected in the top notes, but a little hard and woody in the mouth feel department and finish. “Raspberry choc bullets” best describes its taste vibe.
