Woods Crampton White Label Eden Valley Riesling 2021

For the 2021 release of their White Label Riesling the Woods Crampton team have come up with a chameleon wine that not only drinks well now but also will easily handle a couple of years in the cellar. It’s almost surprisingly open for business from a region that is not always so approachable when young. Pale in colour, the fruit is pristine and bright with an attractive mix of grapefruit plus some slightly richer pithy aromas. It builds even more complexity on the palate with lavender and spicy elements over a core of citrus with a lingering finish. Chill it down and enjoy with whole baked Snapper.
