Wynns Coonawarra Estate Coonawarra Messenger Chardonnay 2024

Share

A glistening green gold hue offers an impressive start. Lifted aromatics keep the momentum going with aromas of nectarine, white peach and citrus with the lasting scent of apple blossom. The ’24 Coonawarra vintage was cool and dry and Chardonnay responded with a supple, elegant wine that lays everything out up front and is generous across the middle palate before being nicely corralled by lively acidity into a bright finish. An effortless chalky texture combines with well-composed oak – eight months in French oak, 27% new – and ripe stone fruits, citrus, grilled nuts and buttery lemon curd.  Brings a sunny outlook to the future of Chardonnay in Coonawarra.
