Each vintage Sue Hodder and her team choose one single vineyard block to bottle on its own. The vines in the Glengyle vineyard were planted in 1969 and have links to John Riddoch’s original block 474. Perfumed violet and leafy red berry notes with a trace of chalky limestone. The palate is sublime thanks to a juicy ripe red berry character with beautifully lingering flavours that extend effortlessly to a very long finish. The earlier ripening influence is shown in the slightly juicy fleshy fruit characters.
