Yangarra Estate Vineyard Blanc 2020

First things first – I bloody love this wine with its vibrant, vivacious personality. Spring literally bursts from the glass thanks to what can only be described as an eclectic blend of grape varieties, and it is made without any sulphur (preservative) additions.

Grenache blanc (60%), roussanne (17%), clairette (10%), picpoul (8%) and bourboulenc (3%), are blended together to give this wine some serious personality. However, white grenache (yes white grenache is a thing) is the star with its exotic tropical, floral and nutty scents plus some textural richness. There is also apricot and apple fruit thrown in too, adding to the wine’s appeal. It is then dry with lowish acidity that sits perfectly adding to an overall, easy-drinking style, as does a lingering finish. Seriously grab a case for Summer, although you will probably need two.
