Doesn’t share much in common with ABBA’s own Super Trouper hit song, but you have to admit the name is catchy. The wine is pretty catchy, too. Latch on to the full fruit sweetness with Shiraz shining all the way through and enjoy the ride. Aromas of ripe red and purple berry fruits here, a touch of leafy complexity and floral lift. Delicate savoury notes give an indication of what is to follow. The palate is driven by Cabernet’s steady reliable tannins with oak sitting nicely providing some of that gentle savouriness that filters through the wine. Juicy, tight and still in relatively youthful mode. It’s hit its straps and should be enjoyed with medium-term aging.
