The cooler 2023 vintage has certainly influenced the style and structure of this Clare Valley Shiraz, producing a wine of elegance and refinement. Aromas of dark plum and spice are complemented by subtle notes of vanilla essence, dried herbs and dark chocolate. It is a generous palate that sits comfortably in the medium-weight zone, reflecting both the season and the winemaking style. Fine chalky tannins and well-judged oak influence combine to carry the wine through to a refined and focused finish. An elegantly crafted wine suited to medium-term drinking, while still possessing worthwhile cellaring potential.
