A fighting Shiraz if ever there was one, hitting well above its price point and bringing some trad Vale generosity of flavour to the glass. Smooth, textural and well-integrated in oak, there is a natural harmony in the ripe blackberry, black cherry and plum fruits accompanied by gentle anise, chocolate and woody spices. Highlights the region’s plushness and overall easy-going assuredness with Shiraz, with an introduced layer of red fruits and spice and a nice spread of tannin lifting towards the finish. Tasted this wine over three days and it remained remarkably fresh throughout. A big thumbs up.
