Auswan Creek Diplomat 45 Year Old Vines South Australia Shiraz 2019

Another fine Shiraz from their Diplomat range, this has a garnet hue. The noise is redcurrants, dry herbs, forest notes, bay leaves, warm earth and dried fruit characters. Delicious. A wine with good focus and decent length. Well balanced with slightly gritty tannins at this stage, but it will continue to come together. The team suggest drink in two years. Fair enough, but for me, it will then go on for much longer, at least a decade. Would be a good match for a rich beef stew at the moment, as well.
