85% Garganega and 15% Trebbiano di Soave from volcanic soils in Veneto, Valpolicella, and Bardolino. Fresh lemon juice, lemon rind, red apple, peach flesh, and nashi pear meld with sweet potpourri off the bat, with lemon blossom and rosehip thereafter. This is soft, pretty and inviting, with the cut of vibrant fruit keeping the lifted florals from being too dominant, especially as the wine warms. That fruit vibrancy carries through to the palate, with the lemon juice, white peach, and red apple notes at the fore. There’s a good lick of chalk to the texture, which is tempered by a wash of citrus-drenched acidity bringing freshness through the finish. Pure, varietal, refreshing, and quite delicious. Not to mention great value.
