Bec Hardy Garden Series Chardonnay 2025

Share

From the family’s lower Tintara vineyard on Kays Road, McLaren Vale, one of the region’s first generation vineyards planted by Thomas Hardy in the 1880s. Chardonnay is a more recent resident here, and given a mighty opportunity to express its ripe fruit characters, peach, honeydew melon and pineapple all up for it in the palate, the nasals more demure. It’s been neatly seasoned in older oak for a subtle spicing, which adds an extra element to all that ripe fruit, the gift here being the wine remains bright and fresh and perfectly suited to an afternoon picnic under the trees with a platter of cheeses.
