The 2024 Bekkers releases were a little more reticent and harder to read than usual but the pedigree here is exceptional and I expect them to improve significantly in bottle. This Syrah Grenache is poised with a fleshy core of dark cherry and licorice with peppery/meaty spice and fine French oak sitting comfortably in the background. Fleshy textured with an initial burst of al-dente tannins to start before opening up to a silky and bright-fruited finish. Youthful and charming with some aging potential.
