Black & Ginger Great Western Rapunzel 2023

Rapunzel let down her hair and if you’re drinking this wine then it’s a good reason to let yours down too, either literally or preferably metaphorically. Peachy and citrusy plus sweet blossom, giving it immense prettiness. Then there’s a slight toasty, kerosene note coming through which I love. The mouthfeel is mellifluous, slipping around the palate, with acid zip and mineral zing, plus some saltiness which saw it pair really well with savoury foods. The Grampians/Great Western area is a great region for Riesling, and the Rapunzel is a case in point… so buy a case.
