A step up in depth and concentration of fruit which will be rewarded with further time in bottle. This is a keeper. The key is the complexity achieved in the 2020 vintage which is released in a myriad of aromas and flavours. My tasting notes definitely got a good work out: chocolate, plum, mulberry, earth with a touch of savoury-influenced black olive tapenade with anise and baking spices. I could go on, but you get the idea. This is a wine chockful of flavour but, and it’s an important but, there is also structure and fine-ness, weight and length. And it delivers at the price point.
