Bodega Volcanes de Chile Reserva Pinot Noir 2022

Share

Wines from volcanic soils are the latest hot thing, which is more than understandable given the quality of many of them. This one hails from Chile. A pale crimson colour here, the nose gives us some lovely savoury Pinot notes, including animal flesh and truffle notes. We have spices, dry herbs, leather and red fruits, with good focus and satiny tannins, and a lingering finish. If savoury Pinot is your thing, get on board. This will be good drinking for at least the next three to four years. Wine from volcanic soils is here to stay.
