Brown Brothers Patricia Shiraz 2019

At first glance, I instantly think of a bonfire, roasted chestnuts, a steak on the grill, and a cosy wool blanket. If a wine makes you think of an ideal scenery, you’d better have it by then. It’s the scent of something familiar, yet intriguingly complex and warm: the sweet tang of candied raspberries, the rich depth of red cherries, the burst of freshness from pomegranate, the unique sweetness of boysenberries, the comforting aroma of vanilla pods, and the indulgent hint of milk chocolate. There are flashes of spices, rosemary, and thyme on the palate. The tannins are soft and hug the palate, and the acidity is like your mum’s fingers passing through your hair. You can rest peacefully with this one while it is dark and cold outside.

Variety: Red Wine, Shiraz
