Capel Vale Whispering Hill Riesling 2019

Share

Mount Barker was one of the first regions in the Great Southern to gain attention and it is still one of the best, with the Whispering Hill Single Vineyard Riesling a local leader. This vintage has an impressive pale colour and then shows exotic spicy fruits – green mango, citrus and cardamon with good precision and focus. The palate is then beautifully silky with more pear and guava fruits but still underlined by citrus fruits with a firm line of acidity that drives a long, elegant and understated finish. A strong vintage with a good future ahead.
