Chalk Hill Alpha Crucis Sirius Shiraz 2022

The nose is so intense and poised to be almost intoxicating. Redolent of blue violets, incense, cedar, açai berries, mulberries, black cherries and plums, vanillin, and an earthy accent of bush tomato leaf. In the mouth, what is striking is the dustiness of the tannins, which are also quite pumped in their shape, like a young block at the gym. Yet, it possesses a mellow side of vanilla and cedar from the oak, caressed by elegant freshness, a well-polished set of blue and black wild berry fruit and an attractive savoury finale. Plenty of time ahead and occasions to savour it.
