Charles Renoir Beaujolais 2019

Share

Here we have a regular annual release from ALDI and the 2019 vintage is a cracker. It’s absolutely bursting with those crunchy red raspberry fruits with layers of spice often seen in young gamay that just says drink me. The wine is beautifully bright and fresh with floral, raspberry, strawberry and herbal fruits. They are really quite complex but also made to be smashable over the next year or two without any plans for living longer than that. It’s then light weight, lively and silky with dried strawberry and more spice to finish. Great value and a delicious picnic red that would suit a light chilling.

Available at ALDI April 2021
