Chard Farm The Tiger Pinot Noir 2022

The remaining Pinots from Chard Farm on which we are focussing are all single vineyard efforts and it is fascinating to see them as a collection. All are, of course, Central Otago – The Tiger Vineyard is from the Lowburn sub-region. For me, it is always one of the really appealing wines in the quartet, although we could say that about them all. Pale red with a slight dulling of the colour on the rim, this is a sappy, savoury nose, which is really attractive. Herbs, red fruits, animal hides, truffle notes, there is good balance throughout with a fine line of acidity. A juicy style with decent length, which will be providing pleasure for the next six to ten years.
