Château Tanunda 50 Year Old Vines Shiraz 2023

Share

Built for long distance not for speed, this old vine Shiraz – under cork – comes dark and dense, savoury influenced and with plenty of time still on the clock. Acacia, earth, dark red fruit and peppery spice light up the bouquet. Indeed, you could get lost in the spiciness that ensues, with a palate lifted by a native pepper piquancy, allspice and Aussie bush notes with sweet black fruits, blackcurrant, cocoa, earth and leather. Well-honed oak plays its role well, adding another layer of flavour and interest, while tannins are firm, adding their voice to a wine still coming together and which will undoubtedly age well.
