Howard Park has made the running on the production of premium sparkling wines in Western Australia. Releases each year have built upon developing an individual house style.
The 2015 Grand Jete continues the journey for winemaker, Janice McDonald. The sourcing is from Mount Barker, the grape mix is Chardonnay (51%) and Pinot Noir (49%) and time on yeast lees is 48 months.
Beautifully fresh and bright with the scent of citrus blossom, biscuit and apple crumble. That zing of acidity throughout makes it perfect aperitif fare, the palate broadening ever so slightly to include a dense mealyness, ginger snap and a touch of grilled almonds. Keeps things tight and buzzing. A good drink all round.
