Clo Courabyra Chardonnay 2018

Share

A country farmhouse in the glass, with baked apples and quince pie. Cereal grains and roasted nuts are dominant in the aromatics with hints of rising sourdough bread, roasted brazil and macadamia nuts.

The aromatics might be confronting for some but I urge you to take a sip. On the palate the roasted pears and pineapple jam give the wine the fruit density that is shy on the nose.

The savory elements of roasted nut butter finish off the wine with a treacle bitterness at the end. If you enjoy those savory Jura chardonnays or savagnins this kind of sits in this camp.
