Dalrymple Single Site Swansea Pinot Noir 2022

Share

Restrained and delicate aromas of plum and dark cherry set the scene, making way for tilled earth, campfire ash, ripe red florals, sweet pops of raspberry and waftings of nutmeg. Restraint is the word, and it’s working beautifully here with a wine of class and poise. The palate is lithe and similarly restrained, though with lovely even intensity and texture. This is delicious. Deep red florals, raspberry, dark cherry, nutmeg and a shot of stemmy spice work together magically in a lifted and cohesive aesthetic. The finish is long and framed by bitter cacao-laced tannins and piercing acidity. There’s not a hair out of place here. A Pinot Noir of grace, class and complexity. Bravo.
