Corduroy Wines Black Label Chardonnay 2018

Taste the wines from Phil LeMessurier and you can tell he is a thinker. And it comes as no great surprise that he has also had a varied winemaking experience from McLaren Vale to the Hunter Valley with numerous stops in the USA plus a stint in France at Paul Jaboulet Aîné. This a truly Burgundian-like offering close to its peak but still with cellaring potential.

Light bright golden, it offers up an array of delicate, fine aromas – nougat, crushed nuts, florals, and citrus with well integrated, high quality oak. The balance is excellent. The palate is then bright with powerful yet with delicate fruits and a mouth filling texture. Savoury barrel ferment adds attractive detail before a long and silky finish. It’s a super price too.
