Dalrymple Tasmanian Pinot Noir 2020

Share

While Dalrymple’s original vineyards are located up at Pipers River near Bass Strait, Peter Caldwell also includes some Coal River Valley fruit for this wine, which no doubt gives some richness to the delicate Pipers style. It’s a very good fit which has turned out a wine with broad appeal for all Pinot fans.

Mid cherry in colour, this is a generous and up front style with lovely purity of dark cherry fruit, plus attractive layers of sappy and spicy notes. The palate is then fleshy with plenty of stalky herbal complexity over sour cherry flavours. It’s supple and quite soft so best enjoyed soonish with a liberal serve of vegetable spring rolls.
