Delamere has made some mighty impressive Rosé’s over the years, thanks in part to the quality of the fruit, but also the fact that they really treat this style seriously. In this case, the fruit comes off 40-year-old Pinot blocks and was hand-harvested. It even got a light foot pressing in the bins before low-temperature fermentation was adopted to contribute to its vibrancy and freshness, which is evident from the outset. Aromas of strawberry, a little watermelon, and some spice. The palate displays a beautiful texture, with a keen crispness adding that final flourish and lift on the finish. Terrific wine.
