Domaine des Ardoisières, Silice 2018

Share

This cuvée called Silice is made from Jacquère, one of Savoie’s native grape varieties. Jacquère makes crisp whites, with grassy tones and good acidity. Perhaps Savoie’s version of a typical light expression of Sauvignon Blanc.

Coined as the ‘mountain wine’ or alpine wine, this drop is sculpted by fresh sappy acidity, low alcohol and good minerality! Gently aromatic with subtle flint, it shows fresh green pear, a squeeze of lime, dried herbs, some grapefruit and white flowers… this is seriously refreshing!

It’ll do wonders matched with picnic snacks. Have it with cheese platters, rillettes and pickles or a BLT sandwich. It screams Summer!
