Eddystone Point Sauvignon Blanc 2024

Share

Winemaker Stewart Byrne uses a mix of stainless steel and older oak barrels to ferment this wine, giving a balance between structure and purity. Stays well in the fruit spectrum (rather than grassy) with grapefruit citrus interplay over expected kiwifruit and gooseberry flesh. Passionfruit seeds, blackberry/bramble and a touch of campfire ash (in a good way). Some heft to the body, the oak treatment providing frame in which kiwi, guava and grapefruit shine. A long, persistent textural and crisp finish. A cut above the usual grassy-green SBs.
